Descriptions
From Sasebo Port 25 kilometers north to Hirado, there are 208 islands, large and small, collectively known as Kujukushima. If you take the Kujukushima Pearl Sea Resort Cruise, you can cruise around the beautiful Kujukushima Island in about 50 minutes. In particular, there are many unique islands in the southern part of Kujukushima, such as Jono Island with strange peaks and undulating rocks, and Changnanfeng Island stretched with Senjiji (looks like layers of tatami) rocks, etc., not to be missed. . The view of Kujukushima Island can be seen from the land, and the most popular viewing spot is the Kanzan Peak. From here, you can see the islands dotted like a jigsaw puzzle, and the gorgeous sunset, so be sure to check it out at sunset. Changchuanshan Park is a 234-meter-high Prospect Hill. About 100,000 rhododendrons bloom on its northern slope. From April to May, it is dyed a reddish pink, like a sea of flowers, which contrasts with the blue sky and blue sea. . The azalea festival is held every year in the flowering season, and various events and food stalls are lively. Oysters are the specialty food of Kujukushima, especially the oysters of Kujukushima caught in winter, with firm flesh and rich taste. During the season from October to March, various grilled oyster shops along the coast can enjoy the deliciousness of Kujukushima oysters. At the same time, rock oysters are in season in summer from June to August, so you can eat them whether you go in summer or winter. The Kujukushima Pearl Ocean Resort is a seaside resort park located at the entrance of the Kujukushima Island. With the theme of the sea, it includes an aquarium, a cruise on the Kujukushima Island, and a sea walk by sailing and kayaking. Fun that can only be experienced in Kujukushima.
